Pamela Armstrong PhD is a psychologist/coach. Born to parents from the mid west, she was a child of the 50’s who grew up in small town Tennessee. Her parents instilled in her a love of the arts, and a great appreciation for words. They also saw her as able to break through perceived barriers to reach her dreams. The established role for females at that time was a restricted one, but somehow she kept clearing a path to achieve the standing required to function as a free-standing mental health professional. She had to confront many demons, internal and external, along the way.
Pamela’s transition into creating poetry has been an exciting one, as she had yearned to share with a wider audience, yet wanted the freedom to be ironic and even contradictory as part of the creative process.
