About Cherie

CHERIE SMITH is a native Virginian, born near the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. She and her family still live there, enjoying the views of the mountains every day. Raised as a firm believer in education, Cherie earned degrees in general studies and business management from Northern Virginia Community College in Sterling, Virginia. While employed for twelve years at Strayer University in Ashburn, Virginia, she earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration. Currently, Cherie works at Laurel Ridge Community College in Middletown, Virginia, where she helps students accomplish their dreams of obtaining their degrees. See Cherie’s children’s books below. Contact Cherie at csmith7399@outlook.com if you are interested in buying one of her books.

Cherie dedicated her first book, The Thirteen-Year-Old Sailor, to her father, who served in World War II. She now writes children’s books about love, kindness, friendship, and courage. Currently for sale on Amazon and Barnes & Noble are her first two books, Little Bruce the Spruce Tree and An Act of Kindness that her grandchildren inspired. Cherie’s new books, All It Took Was A Brother’s Love and Poor But Rich at Heart are available. Cherie hopes the books she writes will bring smiles to all the children who read them.
